Syros Cyclades holidays
Syros is the capital of the Cyclades, a fact that did not happen by chance, as it is very close to Piraeus port and has been the first important trading port of Greece, while Syros also has significant civilization legacy, facts that made the island capital of Cyclades.
Important Museums of the island are the Archaeological Museum of Syros, the Museum of Cycladic Art, the Technical Civilization Center and Markos' Vamvakaris' Museum. On the island there are also many historic buildings, such as Ermoupoli's City Hall, Apollo's Theater, and the First Hospital. One more important site of the island is the lighthouse of the port, built in 1834. The neoclassic buildings of Syros, the 20th century's mansions, the churches and the traditional villages are great sites for the visitors.
In Syros, the visitor may select between many types of vacations. It is a cosmopolitan and touristic developed island, which makes it easier to provide different types of vacations to its visitors. In contrast with other Greek islands, Syros has visitors coming all year long and not only during the summer, even for the weekends.
