Preveza prefecture is found in the north-western department of Greece, of Epirus. North it borders on the Ioannina prefectures and Thesprotia Easternly and southly-eastern on the Arta prefecture and westwards from Ionian sea. Historical monuments: Roman Nikopolis, ancient Kassopi, fabulous Acherontas with Nekromanteio, the Byzantine churches, the Ottoman castles, of martyr Zalogo and Pargas spa with its castles. Natural beauties: the diaphanous Ionian sea coasts, Amvrakikos gulf, the lake of Ziros.
